Turkey Coaster
1. Applique Material
2. Applique Position
3. Applique Material Color (match your fabric)

Instructions for Coaster:

Hoop a piece of heavy water soluble stabilizer using the smallest hoop necessary for this design
(4x4). Cut a piece of coaster fabric big enough to cover the entire inside of the hooped area.
Spray the bottom side of this fabric lightly with temporary spray adhesive and place over the
hooped water soluble stabilizer. Stitch the first color (applique material), using the same color
thread as the color of your coaster fabric.

Cut a piece of bottom layer fabric that is larger than your first stitching. Spray the wrongside of it
with temporary spray adhesive and place it carefully over the stitching on the bottom of your
hooped fabric. Stitch the next to the last color (applique position) using the same color thread.
Now remove the hoop from your machine. Do not remove the fabric from the hoop.

Carefully cut away the excess bottom layer of fabric close to the stitching line. Then carefully cut
away the top layer of fabric close to the stitching line. Do not cut through the stabilizer. Put the
hoop back in your machine and stitch the final stitch sequence to finish the coaster.

For the prettiest results, use the same color of thread in your bobbin. Tear away the excess
stabilizer from around the coaster. Soak your coasters in warm water until the stabilizer is
dissolved. Lay flat to dry and then press.

NOTE: Preshrink your fabric before beginning!
